The Bahamas lie 50 miles off the coast of Miami. A cluster of alluring islands famous for swimming pigs, lagoon waters and more recently a very controversial Netflix program 'Fyre', and an absolute must see.

The 700 islands and cays range from uninhabited to packed with resorts. The Northernmost, Grand Bahama, and Paradise Island, home to many large scale hotels, are among the best known.

The official currency for The Bahamas is the Bahamian Dollar. The $ symbol is used and B$ is used to distinguis it from the other Dollar currencies. US Dollars can also be used on the islands.

Best time to travel
Peak season and the most expensive time to travel is April to June . Hurricanes threaten the islands from June to November and you can get some great deals during this period. (Please note some of the smaller islands close to tourists August to November

Temperatures in The Bahamas range from 27 degrees to 32 degrees in the summer months and 21 degrees to 27 degrees in the winter months . Wet season runs from June to November with the wettest months being October and June
