Japan is an island country located off the eastern coast of the Asian continent. Made up of 6852 Islands, it boasts the biggest city in the world, Tokyo.
Famous for Mount Fuji, Geisha, Sushsi, Sumo wrestling, Buddhist Templesand Shinto Shrines and Cat Cafes, and of course Disneyland Tokyo, Japan is also one of the safest countries in the world.
Crime is low, with the most common crimes being stealing bicycles and umbrellas left outside convenience stores.
Japan has a record 1500 earthquakes a year, however most go unnoticed.

Best time to travel
Unless skiing is in your travel plans, March to May and September to November are the best months visit Japan. This is a country of extremes in terms of its weather, so these months are the best to avoid the high temperatures and humidity of Japanese summers or its chilly winters. Typhoons tend to show up around August, they mainly tend to effect the southern part of the country.
